I have a JVC GY HD-100 and I need to find a good on camera light for eng style / tradeshow interviews. Any Suggestions? How are they powered. XLR? Not looking to spend too much but want a good light. Preferably one that turns on and off with the record/vtr..

    thanks

You might want to look at the Anton Bauer Ultralight 2 – that’s what I use for my HD100 (it works especially well if you have the AB battery package).

We like the Frezzis, but also use Anton Baur Ultralights. Saw the LED lightpanel in use recently, makes a nice light but is expensive. You could use a halogen light and make a diffusing rig like the mini-chimera for it and get a similar look for less money.
