    Hello,
I’m working on a long form video that has lots of animated text on the side, supers, paragraphs of text, etc. I would love it if there were a plugin that operated like a live broadcast studio/tricaster that could easily add text to the side of the screen or bottom quickly.

Currently I am using dynamic link to send each clip over to After Effects and then manually animate text in AE…this is very time intensive for the amount of material I have to go through.

Looking for any advice on plugins or better workflows. I looked at CoreMelt’s free text plugin but found it a little too limited in functionality.

    Thanks for any advice!

While I haven’t tried it, trueblue fx titler pro might be something? It looked pretty interesting, but I don’t yet have a need for it. (I do why you do with Ae currently)

For a long time there was the Pinnacle Deko family of CG boxes and software. AVID bought Pinnacle several years ago, and I think they’re still selling some of the products. There were several products, some were software, some were hardware based.

There was also a plugin for Premiere Pro called TitleDeko. The whole family of Deko products was very intuitive to use, and allowed easy creation, by putting a still of the clip you were working on in the background of the CG interface. There were tons of style possibilities, animation was possible in some versions, and even playback. I think AVID bought the Pinnacle Deko line to kill the competition, but you may still be able to get it. I worked on both the TypeDeko boxes and software for almost 15 years, and loved them.

You know you can make animation presets. Then replace the content. Make multiple duplicate comps and replace the text.

There are ways and means. You get a nice flow going. All depends on your complexity of animations. Can achieve some stuff in PPro with presets too. And replace with content keeps animations.

At the recent Video Expo West trade show, I had a chance to view demonstrations of True Blue’s Titler Pro plug-in for CS6. I have used the old Title Deko and others over the years, but this software looks easy to use and the output through Premiere was impressive. I am going to purchase it. Here is a link to their site:
