  Looking for advice to create this animation

  Hello everyone! This my first post here, but been a silent reader for a long time, CreativeCOW helped me immeasurably over the years with all the tutorials and helpful posts. Which encouraged me to ask for advice to this great community on how to do a particular piece of animation I need to do for a client.

  The brief is to show a leaf that is being cut into fine strips, then the strips become golden glowing lines and fly in 3d space.

  I found a similar example on youtube from a dunhill cigarette commercial, although done in reverse (thin strips fly in and form the tobacco leaf). Here is the relevant portion:

  I’d love it if I can pull it off within AE+plug-ins, and looking for advice on how to do that.
