looking for a Cameraflash kind-of effect
There’s hundreds of examples of the effect in video’s, but when youre looking for it… 😉

Simplest would be a frame of white cut in, then dissolved into the next shot. To get fancier, you’d want to add some posterization in the fade, to mess with the chrominance. There are also plug-ins, some free, some not. Try places like toolfarm or Nattress for those.
