Hello….I am wondering as to why this simple comp is taking sooo long to render
I have four solids 2@720×100 pixels and 2@720×5 pixels I have a simple scale animation on the 2 smaller solids….added to this is a title(two words)using preset text animations for in and out….the comp is 2mins and 40 secs long and is taking almost 3hrs to render! the comp is 720 x 480 and motion blur is set for the text animation.I am rendering it out as an .avi at best and RGB+.My computer is a P4-2Gigs ram-matrox parhelia 128-10,000rpm raptor main drive…this is after effects cs3 pro.My memory usage is set to 90% and 60%…any ideas
    many thanks
    Steve

What has been your previous experience rendering on this machine?

It’s probably going to be something very simple but subtle. About all you can do is turn off a couple of layers, one at a time, and see how that affects your performance with some test renders.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
