Logging Preset – Bulk Clip naming in FCP7
On my imac (and 3 other computers), I have a Name Preset in my Log and Transfer window that I use to name bulk amounts of footage. I type in the clip name, hit add clip to queue, and when I go to clip #2, the Clip Name stays the same. I can select several pieces of footage and hit “add selection to queue” and it gives that clip name to all of the highlighted footage.
On my macbook pro, when I go to the next clip, the clip name doesn’t carry over and instead says “clip #2” or whichever clip it is. Also, if I select several pieces of footage and type in a name, and hit “add selection to queue” it will only apply the name to the first clip and the rest are added to the queue as “clip #2” “clip #3” etc.
Both computers have FCP 7.0.3
is there a preference I should change? I don’t see many options in the import settings
