Logging In / Out not available in VidCap
Hi all,
I’m new to this forum, but I have a problem that’s been going on for a long time.
I’m using VidCap 6.0 and I can not do any batch capturing because all of the fields for selecting in points, out points, etc. are “grayed out”. Yet the “current location” displays, accurately, the current time code.
I’ve checked all my settings and I can’t find anything that seems awry. Has anyone ever encountered this? I can’t find a thing about this on the Sony website.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes, DV Control is enabled and the device is completely controllable via VidCap. It is only the right panel that is “greyed out”: Clip Name, Tape Name… Log In/Out, Capture In/Out…
Has anyone ever seen this? Anyone from Sony reading this, by any chance?

And we’re talking about the external (DV) capture, and not the internal (HDV) capture?

My guess is that the Xpress version doesn’t support tape logging.

I have the same problem with vidcap 5, but it only happens when I run vidcap as a standalone program. When I run it through Vegas (File/capture video…) than everything works.
Strange!
