Log & Transfer
I am using Log and Transfer with an HD Cam card. I have my scratch disk set to an external HD. However, FCP is writing the conversions to my system drive. I found where to ” change the path” but it will not allow me to select any of my external drives, or my 3 internal drives. It is saying this :
contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches supported media.
What am I doing wrong? I can’t fill my system drive with my clips.
Any help is much appreciated. This is my first time with HD and L&T.

You have got it all wrong.
“Change the path” is not the option where you select destination for transcoded footage. It’s an option to mount the volumes/folders where camera cards are stored.
If you have set the capture scratch destination then the footage will go there, be assured. But you will need to bring it in L&T window first.Which HD camera are you talking about.
