Following Apple’s documentation for “Turn log processing on or off,” sometimes I find the Log selection menu is replaced by a one line text box. Even if I type in the name of the LUT, nothing happens.

Haven’t been able to figure out the pattern that makes one or the other interface appear. But it’s with the same clip, and I’m running the current FCP X. Would like to have the menu show up each time.

    Any suggestions? Thanks.

As far as I know, the only interface should be the drop down menu. Anything else is FCPX playing up on you so it might be time for a reset/reinstall.

In case it helps anyone else, I think I’ve solved this disappearing LUT menu puzzle:

While the clip is importing or after it’s finished importing and been added to the timeline, no LUT menu.

Quit FC and restart, select clip and there’s the LUT menu.

I guess FC does something necessary when quitting or opening a file.
