I recently completed a shoot w/ a Sony EX1 camera. I’m trying to log and transfer the footage from the SxS card this morning and for some reason Log & Transfer in FCP (running version 6.0.6) is not working/recognizing the card. Worked fine last weekend and several times before that… It’s frustrating, cause I didn’t change anything about my work-flow (to my knowledge), nor have I recently done anything to/with FCP.

The computer is recognizing the card just fine (I can see the mounted disk and preview the footage with XDCAM Clip Browser), just can’t log and transfer suddenly. What gives? Short of reinstalling FCP I’m at a loss as to what to do.

    Any ideas?

Try the “old standards” – trash prefs and repair permissions.
