Log and Transfer: FCP will only pull 3 out of 10 clips in one of the folders.??
Hello – To anyone who can help:
When in Log and Transfer in FCP, we’ve had zero problems transferring over footage from all of our 6 Cards, except one. Card 3 is only allowing about 4 out of the 10 clips to become mounted in order to transfer, but we cannot figure out why it will not bring over the rest of them. It does not give us any error window or anything, and we have tried unchecking removing advance pulldown from the log and transfer window.
Can anyone help?

Have you tried making an image of the problem cards using a program like P2CMS from Panasonic and then try and capture from the image file on the hard drive? You could have errors on the card and the P2CMS software will detect those. Plus, it’s always a great idea to make an image of your cards first with a byte verification program that checks for errors. Just think of them as film mags.

It has been repeatedly advised by experienced editors on this forum that all cards should be copied with the entire card structure intact to a hard drive before L&T. Shane Ross has made two excellent tutorials explaining how and why and the process for recapture if necessary using L&T.
I recommend searching this forum for both the tutorials and further advice.
