Log and Transfer corruption problem shuts final cut down.
Hi Folks,
I am working on a project where multiple external hard drives are at work. One has the footage in AVCHD and XDCAM the other has my project.
I was using log and transfer and dumping all my files into one hard drive in PRORESS 422 HQ.
One of the hard drives dismounted. I got the red dot warning indicating my hard drive was removed. It was not on my desktop nor it showed on the system. So I turned the computer off and re powered everything. Once all were back online. I tried to resume log and transfer. The clips played on the preview but when I drop them to Que it gave me a red dot waring and Final Cut shut down.Question Number 1: How do you completely erase final cut from your system? Because dropping into trash did not do the job. When I tried to re install final cut, the computer indicated I was upgrading and it did not ask me serial number and stuff.
Question number 2: My imovie can transfer AVCHD files. So I know the files are not corrupt. Panasonic AVCHD Viewer also plays the files so I know the max os x is fine.
DO I need to do complete system erase to get my final cut back to work?
I can’t even get an error message to know what the heck is going on..Cheers
