locks on files
ps i have noticed all the files on both the p2 cards and now my lacie have locks in the lower left hand corner. i don’t recall seeing this before.
i am used to doing the direct down load to hd, and found all the wasted space to be silly. but now feel like a fool since i blew the computer as intermediary step.

All the P2 files have always been locked. You just might not have noticed. If you want to delete them, just hold down the OPT key when you empty the trash.
But wasted space? Your originals? No, those are your master tapes. You should have those on a separate drive from your media anyway.
