Loading new clips from a sd card
Hi All just bought Sony Vegas studio HD and trying to load video clips that were put on a cd,”The tape jammed so I had it put on a CD” Sony Vegas will not recognize the cd?
Also I have a Nikon full HD camera and just returned from Italy, I have windows 7 and put all the photos and videos on, Separated the videos to the video file now Sony Vegas will not recognize the video file???Not sure what I am doing wrong

Quite likely you don’t have the codec for the video in your PC.
*** DO NOT *** install a “codec pack”. They tend to replace good codecs installed by Vegas with inferior ones.
Find the freeware gspot to determine what codec you need, then find that codec.
Alternately, there is some freeware that may convert the camera file into a format that Vegas will recognize. Find out what codec the camera uses and someone here can suggest something to convert the files.
