I’m on the train home, so I’m not @ my pc to test this out, but I was wondering if it was possible for Vegas Pro 9c to load assets into the project library from the internet using a URL?

Yes and No. 😉 If you point Vegas to an asset from a URL it will get download it to your Temporary Internet Files folder from Internet Explorer and Vegas will add it to your project. I believe this is standard Windows behavior and nothing special to Vegas. As long as you don’t clear your IE browser cache the file will remain on your hard drive. I don’t believe that Vegas maintains the original URL so it will be unable to get the file again if it is deleted from your browser cache (which is the “No” part of the answer).

That’s what I thought, just wasn’t aware of the IE temp folder thing. I thought it would go the temp folder specified in Vegas. Thanks

No because Vegas has nothing to do with this. Windows is using IE to resolve the URL. You can do the same thing with Photoshop. The application had no idea that Windows is downloading the file from the internet.
