  Live Type FCP issue solved

  I apologize for posting this , I know there was an existing post I posted, but I can’t find it. I’m posting this in here in the rare event that a FCP editor may not find it in the LT forum.

  A tid bit of info you might help others.

  I finally solved my issue of my FCP crashing because of some LT files. I’ll go over what I did again just for details sake.

  I created a simple animated font in LT and tried to import it. FCP would crash.

  I rendered the font into a movie and imported it. It worked just fine.

  Sometime before the crashes started I was able to get a font imported (simple animated font) that was not rendered into a movie file. So that LT file was in the project.

  Luckily I had already rendered the project to an IDVD file.

  I took that file and imported it into a new project.

  I went through it and looked for all the LT labels in the rendered video.

  Once I wrote down what they all were I did a search for them. I had them all saved in my media drives.

  I went through and deleted all the LT files I did for that video , even the rendered MOVs.

  After that, the project that would not open up . . opened up perfectly with all the LT stuff out of the project.
