    1. Profound Effects / Sony – Useful Things (Mac)
    2. Profound Effects – Useful Assistants (Mac)
    3. Magic Bullet (as has been mentioned) (Mac)
    4. Digital Anarchy’s 3D Assistants (I have not found my reinstaller yet so it may work but simply copying the plugins from 6.5.1 does not) (Mac)

If you know of any others please post them here or if you are getting them to work I would like to know what I need to do to make them work for me too!

Anyone know if the tinderbox and trapcode plugins are usable in 7?

Also, is there a way of installing the upgrade to 7 and still have access to 6.5 the same computer?

    Thanks

    From Trapcode.com

Adobe announced After Effects version 7.0 today. All Trapcode plug-ins render correctly in AE7 but there are some UI problems with Particular, Echospace and Sound Keys. New versions of these plugins will be available for free. Also, all plug-ins will get new installers that are AE7 aware. All this will be available shortly here at the Trapcode website.

Excellent. Can’t live without my particular.

Still curious whether or not I can have a dual install of 6.5 and 7.

You can dual install a copy of AE 6.5 and 7. I have done it for a while to compare our plug-ins on Mac and Windows.

BTW: We are working on updating all plug-ins to be compatible with AE 7. Check our website for info. early next week. Most of the issues are on Mac becuase of changes to AE 7 to support the new framework. Adobe made the Mac version a Cocoa-based application so that they can eventually move to a universal binary. This is a major change for some plug-ins because certain features that plug-ins depend upon like dialogs and palettes require a switch to Apple’s developer tools.
