Liquid/Fluid After Effects – – From Buck
Hello and thanks for the help,
I am trying to figure out the process of recreating something like Buck’s newest addition to motion graphics.
I can’t find anything on the web about how to make fluid, liquid style transitions like they created; the way it morphs from image to image. In the interview they say they mostly used AE/PS/FL. Anyone have any references to sites explaining this or ideas?

Hey Todd,
I did watch that…it was helpful but I still can’t figure out how to use after effects to animate like that; the organic flowing motions. . like when the coffee cup morphs into the woman at 15 seconds in.

The second video on the page shows breakdowns of the shots, and you can use those breakdowns to reverse-engineer how they were done.

I have been kinda figuring out how to recreate some of it by reverse engineering from the breakdown video, but a lot of the organic stuff I am still confused on how to re-create using after effects. This guy makes something close to what I am after but uses Cinema 4D to get the job done.
