    Just an update on this.

    I got some info back from Squarebox regarding how to edit the properties file with the further information available to MacOSX and Windows GUI’s. Simply do a temp install of catdv server on an OS X or Windows platform and set it up how you want it and then transfer that properties file to your VM and replace.

    This is particularly useful as currently there is no easy way to edit the the deeper parts of the properties file on a Linux VM. Particularly useful to add licensing server info etc..

    That’s a great idea. To share a tip back, we build all our systems on our dev server and then populate them to the client in much the same way. That way we don’t get caught up in hardware deliveries and configuration issues while programming and planning.
