Linking Mass Media
Posted by Rodney Leconte on January 23, 2014 at 3:36 amThis is a two part question? When I link offline files to media how do I set it up so that each time I search for the file it’s in the same folder as the the previous video file that I linked. I hate having to link to the correct folder each and every time. The 2nd part is how do I link multiple files at a time?

January 24, 2014 at 4:29 amThe video was a little helpful buy my main issue was linking while already in Premiere. When I found a way around this Premiere out of nowhere shut down. When I try to reopen the sequence I get this message. Can anyone help with this?
” The project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type. ”
Thanks!
Rodney

January 27, 2014 at 2:49 amI just tried this and got the same message. I’m just confused as to how the settings could be that different that it can’t even open the project.

January 27, 2014 at 3:19 amAre you using Premiere Pro CC or CS6? In CS6 Media relinking is terrible. You will have to do a lot of manual relinking.
In CC this is one of the biggest improvements with the tool. It can relink MUCH faster.

“Hi Rodney,
In some cases signing out of Premiere and logging back in can resolve this problem. Can you please try to sign out from Premier pro. Click on Help->Sign out.
Let us know how this goes.
Sorry for the trouble.
