    Hi!
I´m animating a cat, he´s gonna walk and stop repeatedly and to simplified thing I would like to somehow link the legs animation to the position of the body, so the legs move as long a the body is changing position, and they stop when the body is not…
how can i make this happen?
    thanks!!

You may want to investigate puppets using IK. There is a useful and free script available here:

You’ll find some rudimentary training there as well.

In character animation this is called a “walk cycle”, if you search the interwebs for “after effects walk cycle” you’ll find tons of tutorials and info about how to do it. Here’s a particularly good series of tutorials on 2D character animation that might help.
