Link Video and Audio Problem
I am running FCP 4.5 HD on Tiger.
When I capture my footage, it is placed in the browser like normal. There is a thumbnail of my video with a small audio icon in the bottom right hand corner. (everything is normal here)
I can then drag the footage to the timeline and it gives me 1 video and 2 audio tracks like normal. However when I try and move the video, it is not linked to the audio. I have tried selecting all 3 tracks and going to Modify>Link however this doesn’t work.
I have tried everything and I cannot get the video to link to the audio.
Does anyone have any sugestions???? This problem is getting really annoying.

The first thing to always try is to Quit FCP, Restart the Mac, Open your FCP project and try again.

A great way to do this is to use “FCP Rescue” a free Apple Script that will Trash the Preferences for you (and restore nearly all of your user settings afterward).

Check your captured clip from the capture folder on the scratch disc. Does it play properly?
You should always open the clip in the Viewer first, and move it to the time-line from there, NOT directly from the browser.
Do you have linking turned on? (top rght of the timeline)

I would say the first thing to try is make sure you have linked selection turned on at the top right corner of the timeline.
