Link to AMA on a San and set up media creation to a San
We have a 16 Terabyte Apace San system For use with our FCP7 stations. But i’m now Evaluating MC for use on our Campus. I have 2 issues, first when i link via AMA clip on the apace the clips always come up offline. Am i doing something wrong? Second can i set Media Composers Mediafiles folder to be on this Apace San drive. if so how, when i go into the media creation setting i only have the option of setting it to my internal MAC drives
I an Running MC 5.5 on a MAC OSX10.6.7 Apace is connect Via Ethernet

To allow Avid to use non-Avid network drives as Media drives you need to type “AllDrives 1” into the console. I didn’t know this applied to AMA drives, but can’t think that I have ever tried.

Worked like a charm both AMA and media Drives.
I search for hours yesterday looking on how to do this. YOU ROCK

It’s one of those things you don’t forget once you find it, but it’s not easy to find if you don’t know what your looking for. I did a whole feature that would have been a million times easier with this and then found out about it. Was very annoying.
