Link to AMA changes gives new creation date – how do I avoid it?
Posted by Asger Jorgensen on September 19, 2014 at 6:52 pmWhen linking to AMA Avid MC 8.0 changes the creation date to today. How do I avoid that? I have one year of material and I want to sort it by date. And I can’t do that now that MC changes all the dates to today. Any advice?

September 20, 2014 at 3:43 pmDepending on the tapeless format you may well have a column heading related to the source files creation date. Use that instead of the clips creation date.

September 25, 2014 at 8:23 pmHi Pat,
THanks for your reply. Unfortunaltely, I don’t seem to have a collumn that provides the “real” date. Any other ideas as how to solve this?

October 31, 2014 at 9:13 pmI’m really lost with this issue. My Avid-editing friends can’t help me as they don’t edit such long term-projects. Does anyone have a suggestion?

October 31, 2014 at 9:39 pmWell in the old days an edit assistant would have made a custom column and manually added a date.
