Link to AMA changes gives new creation date – how do I avoid it?
When linking to AMA Avid MC 8.0 changes the creation date to today. How do I avoid that? I have one year of material and I want to sort it by date. And I can’t do that now that MC changes all the dates to today. Any advice?

Depending on the tapeless format you may well have a column heading related to the source files creation date. Use that instead of the clips creation date.

THanks for your reply. Unfortunaltely, I don’t seem to have a collumn that provides the “real” date. Any other ideas as how to solve this?

I’m really lost with this issue. My Avid-editing friends can’t help me as they don’t edit such long term-projects. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Well in the old days an edit assistant would have made a custom column and manually added a date.
