I am in Fireworks MX, but can do this in CS2 as well. I am creating a CD insert for a jewel case. I have guides (tick marks) on the page to tell me where it cut the paper to make the insert. I took that same information and pasted it on another page to make a back page of a CD jacket. When I try to print by turning the page over in the printer, the tick marks or cut lines don’t line up. How can I measure say one or two points on the front and be able to use that information to place the file on the second page? I can use the ruler, but I can’t get an exact numerical reading. I don’t want to work all day “eyeballing” it.

    Thanks

Maybe try the Measure Tool, in the Eyedropper button.
