lines on my burned dvd
Hi!
I shot a wedding in 720x480p on my Sony PMWex1 and when burned onto DVD you can see lines through the clips when I am panning and when people are just moving! Is this because of my sequence preset? FCP4 asks to set the sequence to the capture preset so of course I said yes, should I? Can I fix this by changing a format when exporting?
I use a MacPro 2.8 G….Thank you so much!

How are you monitoring the DVD? On your computer monitor, or on a TV with a DVD set top player?

I think you mean Final Cut Pro 6 here…
Anyway, as for the problem it sounds like incorrect field order to me. Make sure your encode field setting matches the field order of your footage.

I am monitoring it on a dvd player. I shot it in 30p at 720×480 and used the same capture preset as the video. I made the dvd in 30p and thats the result I get. Its not like this is the first time I’ve done this but this is the first time I’ve used Encore for my authoring.
But, I will try the field encode setting, thanks for your help.Kim
