I’ve been trying Mellisa Clifton’s tutorial on my photos but can’t seem to get it precise. I don’t own a wacom tablet and dont intend to buy one because i need this effect just for a couple of photos.

I’m finding it especially difficult to trace the facial features and the nose. I don’t know how people get such good results (look at the exmaple pages).

Are there alternate tutorials, video tutorials or some instructions. 🙂

    Thanks a million.

You can also just use the pen tool to create the paths to define “stroke” areas and fill them instead of stroking.

You can’t get pressure effects with a mouse, only an appropriate pen/tablet combo. You might look into a less expensive Graphire tablet if the Intuos is a little too much.
