Light through holes in text
I am a beginner at Photoshop CC 2017 and I am wanting to show light from single source on a still image show through the holes in my text. I have a tutorial on how to show light from behind the text but I’m told I will have to do each hole manually. If so or if not, how do I do this. The tutorial does not show me how. I need step by step instruction. I’ve search YouTube endlessly for months and online with no success. Any tips here? This is for my church’s youth group logo. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

I’m not sure what your are trying to accomplish, from your description.
are you using the text tool? Are you creating some sort of light glow or stream? what kind of background do you have?
