I think it depends if you want them to look perfect or you want to do them fast. When I first posted my tutorial a few years a back, some people on theforce.net complained that they didn’t look like the movie ones enough. Every After Effects tutorial I’ve seen on sabres takes a lot longer to do since you had to move 4 points around, whereas in pI you save a bit of time only having to move two points around.
