Light equalization
I’m helping a friend out on a stop-motion piece, and here’s my issue. It was shot in an old building with voltage issues, and in certain scene, the amount light varies from frame to frame.
My initial plan was to create an adjustment layer with a levels adjustment that I’d lay over the top and adjust as necessary. Obviously this will be a very cumbersome task. Does anybody know of a third party filter that will analyze the overall luminance of a clip and equalize the light level?

You could try the Auto Levels effect [link], the Color Stabilizer effect [link], or Chris Wright’s free auto white balance/auto exposure project [link].
GenArts Sapphire for AE [link] has some nice flicker removal tools, too.
