July 26, 2011 at 11:51 pmSimilar to what Dave said, I don’t see anything in that image I would call light beams or rays … looks like either fire or a blob with a white Glow filter over it. Perhaps post a better example or description of what you’re talking about … not everyone watches lots of music videos.

July 29, 2011 at 12:57 amI searched for the original video to see what the motion was like, and it looks a lot like ink. Digital Juice has a product called Compositor’s Toolkit with an “Ink Chamber” category with that type of element: https://www.digitaljuice.com/products/products.asp?pid=760.

August 2, 2011 at 3:21 pmThe lens flare? AE comes with a basic version, but you can find some excellent plug-ins such as Video Copilot’s Optical Flares or Knoll Light Factory for higher quality.
