Lift from storyline
If I’ve got a whole bunch of clips in my primary storyline that I want to lift from storyline is there another way other than selecting them all, creating a new compound clip, lift from storyline and then break apart clip items.
My way seems a little convoluted to me but can’t figure out another way of doing it.

Why are you creating a compound clip?, just select all the clips you want to lift and right click and select “lift from storyline” or select it in the Edit menu

I don’t know if I’m getting a bit retarded but I think I selected everything including the connected clips and it would not let me do that…but yes when I select just the Primary storyline clips it does seem to work and take the connected clips with it.
Is that how it should work?

Yes. That’s how it should work. You cannot lift connected clips from the primary storyline because they are not in the primary storyline. So do not select them when you want to perform this function.
