    Trying to figure out how to use libraries in After Effects CC 2015.

    I managed to create a library using Illustrator with some colors, graphics, and character styles. When I’m using Illustrator or Photoshop I can use all of those things dynamically. For example, I can have some text selected and then just click the elements in the library to change the color or character style. In AE, the colors and character styles are there but don’t work dynamically like that. In fact, the character styles are totally grayed out and useless. The only thing that works as I expect is the graphic, which I’m able to drag into a composition.

    Is there something I’m missing using colors and character styles in After Effects libraries?

    For now, the intended way to use color swatches from Libraries in After Effects is to select from them using the eyedropper (color picker).

    The Libraries functionality is being added to incrementally, as folks ask for specific things to be included. You can submit feature requests here:
