LHi SDI Question
Posted by Bill Portune on October 4, 2010 at 2:29 pmIf using the LHi with the KLHi-box, do you get 2 SDI in/outs (one set on the back of the card & one on the KKLHi-box), or are the ones on the card disabled once the KKLHi-box is attached?
Thanks.

The ones on the card are not disabled, it works in conjunction with the connectors on the back of the box. Even though you connect the multipin cable from the card to the breakout box.. that only gives you the analog Ins,outs and audio in and out. You still have to connect the cables that are marked SDI in and SDI out from the card to the connectors on the back of the breakout box. Or you won’t be able to monitor or capture using the breakout box.

October 4, 2010 at 5:30 pmThe LHi has one single HD-SDI in, and one single HD-SDI out. The LHi “K box” simply extends these connections on the back of the card to the breakout box. Want two SDI outputs – AJA HD5DA for $240.
Nothing is “disabled” – AJA gives you cables that you connect to the BNC connectors, and extend to the breakout box.bob Zelin

October 5, 2010 at 1:01 pmBonjour,
La KLHi-box ne fait que reprendre les connecteurs physiques SDI et HDMI de la LHi avec un câble multi.
Donc au final il n’y à qu’une seule entrée et qu’une seule sortie.
