    Hey people,

My business partner bought an LG GSA-4167B DVD burner recently. I can burn DVD’s and then verify the sectors without a problem. However, The only speed options for writing that show up are 4X, 8X, and 16X. I would like to write at 1X. I have the latest firmware installed, DL13 from LG.

I have tried the following DVD’s:
    Memorex DVD-R
    Memorex DVD+R
    Maxell DVD-R
    Maxell DVD+R

I have used ImgBurn and Nero Express to burn image files.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Kurt

Some of recent burners (CD/DVD) allow a minimum 4x writing speed. I heard it could be in touch with the hard drive speed, 1x could now be too slow and causes failures. At my mastering studio, all CDs are burned at 4x (Plextor minimum speed), but we’re making an image of the disc before, a realtime.
