    Hi Guys,
I have noticed a lot of these kind of questions and maybe I just didn’t see what I’m looking for. But I have an AE project that everytime I use IDVD it still has no widescreen letterbox to it.
I even re-rendered it in widescreen NTSC 1 (it was just ntsc 1)
and I still can’t seem to get that letterbox. I remade a new comp widescreen ratio and it made it with the letterbox left and right not top bottom. Can’t seem to figure out with premier or I DVD. I really need this, because parts are being cut off on either side. Sorry for the rant, thanks.

i think you are doing the correct thing in AE … but it sounds like iDVD is pan-scanning (centre cutting) your footage. I haven’t used iDVD before, but there should be a setting in there to force it to letterbox the vision rather than centre cut. If there isn’t, then you need to use a more pro application like DVD studio pro…

hi – i’m having a similar issue. i have a final cut project that is widescreen, it was all shot in widescreen, i set the settings to widescreen, looks fine. now i’m making the titles for it in after effects and have set the comp. settings to widescreen, but have no letterboxing. when i export, no letterboxing, just a full-size clip. weird. where am i going wrong?
