    What’s the quickest way to temporarily get rid of the timecode in the canvas?
    Is there a shortcut?
    Right now i’m doing effects -> filters -> matte -> widescreen -> 1.85 -> apple f12 every time i want to see my efforts in full screen. takes forever. I think i can add another video track but i’m sure there’s a smarter way.

    Or a matte or cropping. I don’t know other way.

    You mean FCP’s timecode overlay?You can turn it off, there is a dropdown menu at the top of the canvas window.
