letterbox exporting issue

If you view it on a widescreen monitor it will not be stretched, just burn your widescreen project to a DVD, most players will letterbox a widescreen DVD playing on a 4:3 monitor.

Sorry, I should have been more clear earlier. the footage does adjust to my HDTV, but how would I go about exporting the footage so that the letterbox appears on a 4:3?

Author a 16:9 DVD, most players will detect a WSTV or letterbox for 4:3 in the player
