  • Letter Boxed footage that should be full frame 16×9

I am creating my first blu-ray disc with footage I shot on an HVX200, 1080 24 fps footage.

When I import my footage and try to use it on a timeline or as a menu background, it looks letter boxed… and I cannot seem to find a way to fix that. Do I have to re export all my clips from Final Cut Pro as full frame 1920 x 1080 HD, or can I use the DVCPRO HD settings that my Final Cut Pro sequences are currently at? I dont understand why it is letter boxing the footage, I can create a reqular DVD in DVD STUDIO PRO with no letter boxing issues at all, so I am hoping there is a setting I cannot find in ENCORE that will fix this.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
