  • Less Motion Blur, Longer Render???

I have a 16 Minute Project, which has Background Animation through 90% of it. On my first Render, the Animation came out choppy. So I ran Motion Blur (@4) in the Video Bus throughout the Project, which took 4 hours to Render.

But I realized the Motion Blur reduced the quality of the Video. So I Bypassed Motion Blur on the Video Track (thereby effecting the Background Animation only.)

The problem is that now its taking much much longer to Render!!! It said 9 hours and was still going up when I stopped it!! If anything, should this not reduce the time?? (Less Tracks to apply Motion Blur!)

Am I doing something wrong, is there another way to achieve this.

    Thank you.

I solved the situation by bringing in my Background Animation at regular speed and slowed it down in Vegas.

I had originally Rendered it out of the Juicer (Digital Juice) at slow speed and had all the correct settings, including Frame Blend (in the Juicer.)

But this doesn’t explain the dilemma with the Motion Blur! I guess it’s another one of Vegas’ Glitches!

Sony Tech Support says when Bypassing Motion Blur on a Track, Vegas still Renders it as though it’s still there.
Seems like a waste of time, but I suppose they can
