Leopard upgrade for MacBook Pro running FCP
Hi All,
I’m very much a newbie, but enjoy the intellectual rigor at work in these forums.
I’m running FCP 5.1.4 on a 2.33 GHz Intel Core Duo MacBook Pro with no problems.
Although I make regular sparseimages of my HD using Carbon Copy Cloner, I’m very interested in upgrading to Leopard for Time Machine.
My professional life runs out of this machine, and I’d like to make regular backups an easier experience than they currently are.
I’ve read through the Leopard upgrade threads, and the consensus seems to be: “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. That seems to make sense for more complicated MacPro setups w/ 3rd party video cards and plugins, but I’m not using any of that.
I’m running a clean install of FCP w/o any add-ons or extras.
I will of course make a back up of my HD, but are there other reasons to suspect that FCP will not take kindly to a Leopard upgrade in my case?
I appreciate any sage words you are able to muster…
