  • Lens made out of oil tank objects and volumetric lights

Posted by Hawkowski on May 8, 2006 at 5:56 pm

Following image “https://au.geocities.com/robertohawkowski/C4D/Lens.jpg”shows two lenses made out of “Oil Tank Object” with glassy material and two light source with volumetric parallel light shining on the lenses.
(“https://au.geocities.com/robertohawkowski/C4D/Lens.zip” is the C4D project of this image)

Because these two lenses are different, shape of the light rays after the lenses must be different in reality but it is not the case in C4D.

How to make realistic lens behaviour in C4D?

    You have to use Caustics

Oh yeah, I don’t know if there is a way to affect the visible part of a light this only affects the illumination (unless someone knows better)
