When I brought in a PS file as a comp (in AE7), the comp came in a 2 frames. I don’t see a comp length preference ( there IS a layer length though). When I made the comp 12 seconds, I couldn’t drage or Option] the layer past the original 2 frames… what am I missing?

    thanks,

try pulling the PS layers from the project winfo to the time line after you lengthen the comp… works for me ..

Hey, I’m still AE7-less, but in all previous AE’s go to:

    Edit>Preferences>Import

and under “Still Footage”, click the time one, set to whatever you want for standard, like say 10 seconds (0:00:10:00).

That should make all your psd Imports as compositions at 10 seconds.

I prefer to have my layers the length of my current comp (which works fine)… It’s the importing of a PS file AS a comp that seems screwy. It comes in at 2 frames – I can change the comp size to 12 seconds, but all the layers within that comp are still 2 frames (which is normal); but I can’t drag out the layers to make them longer, nor can I Option] then using the Timebar (as if they were movie files that lasted 2 frames).

    Anybody else experiencing this?

    thanks,
