  Laying off to HDCAM f500, VITC and LTC not matching (slightly OT)

  Sorry this isn’t exactly an FCP issue. I’m trying to lay off from a 23.98 ProResHQ sequence to a Sony HDW-F500 at 59.94i. I’m using a Kona 3. I do have 29.97 reference running to both the deck and my system.

  For some reason I can’t get the VITC and LTC matching on the deck, even when I just black a tape. I’ve checked the settings, TC mode in preset, TC source is Int-LTC, Run Mode REC, DF, VITC set to TCG.
  I’ve played with a few settings (setting the TC mode to auto, changing the TC Reader settings) to no avail.

  The really strange thing to me is that it works fine in 23.98. Same TC settings, and it lays them both correctly.

  I’ve checked the AJA F500 whitepaper and all my settings (including capstan lock) are set properly. Is there some menu item I’m missing?
