    Hello,

I have a program, shot and edited in DVCPROHD 720P/59.94. Brought in to final cut with pro res 422 using the AJA IO HD.

I need to output to HDCAM 1080i 59.94.

Can I just run the 720P/59.94 signal into an HDCAM deck and let it do the conversion or do I need to put it in a 1080i 59.94 sequence and then render it out?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Best,

    Tom Desch

I’m all but certain the Io HD does cross conversions.

You leave FCP set up in 720/60

You go to the AJA Control Panel and change the Secondary Format to 1080i.

You then set your output feeding your HDCAM deck to 1080i.

The box will make the conversion for you.

We do this all the time with our AJA Konas.
