Hi,
I would like to make an info layout around my comp. The info I need there is shot number. I can make one shot one layer. Is there any expression or plugin to make it happen?Thanks for your help

It sounds like you might need a variation of this:

Something like this would display the index of the topmost currently-visible layer:
txt = "";
for (i = 1; i <= thisComp.numLayers; i++){
if (i == index) continue;
L = thisComp.layer(i);
if (! (L.hasVideo && L.active)) continue;
txt = L.index;
break;
}
txt
