layer index on a collapsed layer composition?
hello guys,
i try to find out a solution on this but i need your help. i have a comp, let’s name it A COMP, and inside the comp i have a lot of 3d layers that are offset on z axis with this expression:z = index;
value + [0,0,z]A COMP is inside a main comp with another similar comps B COMP, C COMP, etc.. all this comps are 3d and with collapse layer proprety. and there’s the last layer.
now, all the comps are positioned on the z axis on zero position, as well as the last layer. the idea is to make those extruded comps, come above the last layer, (like a building that raises from the ground).
the problem is that A COMP gets offset on the z axis because of the layers inside the other comps. Apparently, because of the collapse proprety, the index from layers in A COMP gets offset as well, because acts like all the layers are in one big composition.
is there any other way i can work on my expression, so the index gets the number that would had if the comps weren’t collapsed?
í hope a was clear on my description.
cheers!
Constantin
