Layer and visible position ???
Posted by Gary Jarvis on January 5, 2012 at 6:44 pmI do not understand why, when I have one layer above the other the lower layer shows on top on my screen??

January 5, 2012 at 8:10 pmIf you are refering to layers 8 and 11. Layer 8 is at .7 Z, and 11 is at 0. In Z space as you progress in positive numbers the items will move away from you, negative numbers bring them closer.
Layer stack doesn’t matter here, you have placed layer 8 behind layer 11, if you make layer 8’s Z position 0. It should move in front of layer 11.

I kinda thought it would be something logical and simplistic, funny thing is I did a quick on and off of the 3d in layer 8 and it worked also, but, I do understand the logic and have followed your direction.
Actually Dave I kinda need the lights as I am doing a traveling spot on the character.
John, I like your little bit of Edison logic even though I am more of a Tesla fan
