    Hi All ~

Got three new linear editors to teach Vegas to! What’s the latest feedback on the best keyboard to use with Vegas 7. Feedback on the Shuttle Pro would also be useful. Every man and his dog must be trying to download 7e ‘cos the server is very slow today. Very interested in the XDCam HD workflow as we are now switching to the disc world. Should be intersting! TIA.

The Shuttle Pro is quite handy not only for the shuttle, but for the programmable buttons.

    Hi All,
I just picked up the latest keyboard tray that I saw at the NAB convention. The Houdini by ANTHRO. Check this out. https://www.anthro.com/
It adjust in all directions. This was what I was looking for for a long time. Add this to your special keyboard.

    Hi,

Just click on the man with the headphones in his hand. It shows a picture of the keyboard tray but doesn’t really explain anything about it. This Houdini tray extends out to you as far as you need it to. The tray tilts towards you if you want and lifts up over the table top if you want to stand and type. It folds under the table top and slides backward out of the way. Pretty cool. I always wanted to invent a tray that does this, but I’m to late.

The tray I mentioned is on the “Ultra compact cart “.

If I recall correctly, Anthro was a spinoff of Tektronix where they used to make those kind of things in-house to hold Tek equipment. Trivia.

    Hi,

I know now that I can brag about my keyboard tray. This tray raises, lowers, tilts in either direction and swivals left or right. Plus it tucks under the desk top and has a mouse caddy that hides under the tray. I think I said enough about this wonderful keyboard tray so this is my last post.

That is probably the most useless website I have ever seen. Sadly, when the company is too dumb to make a usable website, I have no faith in their products either. Not rational at all, but hey…

Getting back to keyboards, Bella make a nice Bella pro3 that I use for FCP – a vegas one is available too.

It has a lot of programmability and a jog/shuttle contol built in

Thanks all for the feedback. I thought there was a keyboard around that didn’t have the jog wheel, is there one? Just need a good Vegas keyboard and will use the Shuttle Pro with it as it seems to be the best of the dedicated jog wheels.
