Does anyone know how to make the (for my lack of AE lingo) “glow effect behind a human” and the “wavy arms” effects in THE LAST DRAGON? I need to do this for a project im working on.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWVhiIisH30&feature=related

    Glow effect at 1:05
    Wavy arms at 1:22

I am using AE (CS4) and FCP 7, I have the trapcode 10 suite and twitch if those might be of use.
I can also pull stills and use Ai or Ps if need be.

I have only been using After Effects for about 3 months but have a solid working knowledge of the program if someone could just point me in the right direction on these.

    Thanks in advance!

For the glowing silhouette you need to rotoscope the person (cut out the animated shape), comp that on top of the same footage without the mask, and apply glow to the masked layer (silhouette).
The visual echo of the arms can be achieved using the Echo effect.
